Safeguarding

NDF FMA is committed to the mission of safeguarding and creating safe environments for children and adults at risk, and those working with them. We assume a responsibility for all, to ensure their safety and protection from any intentional or unintentional maltreatment or abuse.

The NDF FMA policy extends to all within the NDF FMA care and concern in any type of ministry and within the situations in which we minister – short term or long term. It sets out a commitment to keep all within our communities and ministries safe from any form of abuse.

Director’s Message

At NDF FMA, safeguarding is not an obligation we fulfill — it is a responsibility we live by in every project and every community we serve. Our initiatives bring us close to children, young people, women, and vulnerable groups, and we recognize the deep trust that communities place in us. Protecting that trust is at the heart of our mission.

In all our development and formation programs, we are committed to creating safe, respectful and inclusive spaces where every individual feels valued and protected. Safeguarding is integrated into our project planning, implementation, and monitoring processes to ensure that dignity, safety, and well-being are never compromised.

We believe that true development can only happen in environments free from harm, fear, and discrimination. Therefore, we continuously strengthen our systems, build awareness among our teams and partners, and promote accountability at every level. Safeguarding is a shared responsibility — and together, we strive to ensure that every person associated with our work experiences care, protection and respect.

With commitment and compassion,
Director
