Sahayini Social Development Society is a nonprofit, Non-governmental organization which was started in the year 2012. Sahayini is an official social Development wing of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (FMA) known as Salesian Sisters, Province of Mumbai, fulfilling all the statutory requirements of the State. It provides development programmes and welfare services to the poorest and needy children, adolescent girls and women through 17 outreach centers established in various locations in the states of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Goa Gujarat and Union Territory – Dadra and Nagar Haveli, touching their lives through integral development and educative interventions. Our approach towards life and service is based on the values of love, justice, solidarity, gender equality, living by the principles of professionalism in work, transparency, accountability, creativity, promoting partnership, team work and team spirit.

Activities of the SD office (Kindly include all the activities (3 years activities) which are carried out)
Coordinating social work Activities of all our centres, Writing Projects, tapping the local and overseas resources and funds to support the activities of our centers. Documentation and Reporting , Organizing various capacity building -trainings for social work coordinators, Teachers parents , children and women at Province level and local leverl. Mentoring the Education support Programs in the villages, slums and tribal areas, Neibourhood children’s Parliament, Child Rights, Children’s safety and protection, Child Protection committee, Women’s self help groups, income generations trainings and programs, Farmer’s programs. Covid relief work, out reach progams in remand homes, Government homes for the young women . Individual medical , education and food grain supports. Building linkages and networking with like minded NGOs, Panchayats, local and overseas agencies, community based organization, Government and volunteers.

Motivated by compassion and love, we vision a society that empowers children, youth and women to live as dignified active citizens, enjoying their rights and sustaining the ecology of the environment in solidarity, justice and peace.

Objective

1. To generate life and become effective agents of Social Change and give better response during COVID-19 and be a ray of hope to a new call of women and children which greatly challenges us today.
